The Tagudin Multi-Purpose Cooperative has been operating since 17 October 1970. Its main office is located at Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. It was initiated by the Konbersion San Agustin Parish Priest, Fr. Rik Cornette, CICM. He was joined by Sr. Lorenza Malakas, Ms. Virginia Natividad Sabado (Mrs. Virginia Natividad S. Makil, she retired as General Manager of this cooperative last 01 September 2007), the then Parish Clerk, Mr. Gavino Espiritu, and other 13 townfolks particularly tricycle drivers and operators.
They started only with PhP151.00 as capital and extended loan, for motorcycle parts, in the amount of Php20.00 payable within 2 weeks.
